Handmade folk art cloth black doll

Handmade folk art cloth black doll of stockinette cotton, wearing a pink dress of 1930's print. 14 inches tall. She wears no underwear. Clean, handmade, with a well formed behind for sitting, face is nicely embroidered. This doll is from a small town in Western Maine whose name I have forgotten- not that it is a forgettable place, mind you- it's just my age. I love her face and the shape of her head: a perfect example how how less can be more. A delightful primitive doll for your collection. ITEM ID 527
